Welcome y Bienvenidos!
Calpulli
Mexican Dance Company (aka Calpulli Danza Mexicana)
welcomes you to its first newsletter! Throughout the
year, Calpulli will share information about its events
and performances with insight into its ongoing community
activities and its artistic works. We hope you enjoy
the news...
Calpulli's mission is to teach and produce dance-based
programming incorporating live music and theatre to
promote the rich diversity of Mexico's cultural heritage.
Much like the calpulli of the Aztec civilization, we
are a calpulli of dancers, musicians, and artists guided
by our commitment to our mission. So what were the original
calpulli?
