Dear Friends,
It is with very much excitement that Calpulli
Mexican Dance Company approaches its upcoming
performances at Queens Theatre in the Park on
September 27th and 28th. Months of preparation
are bringing together the efforts of our artistic
staff- Daniel, Martha, Noemy, Sinuhé,
and Alberto. I hope you will all be able to
join us to
enjoy
their creations.
The
performances mark Calpulli's 5th anniversary
as an arts organization, and its 5th consecutive
year collaborating with Queens Theatre in the
Park. Over 5 years, the organization has achieved
many milestones with its touring company, arts
education programs, and community outreach activities.
Here
is a brief list
of accomplishments and milestones along
with the 5 images representing the 5 years of
Calpulli at Queens Theatre in the Park, in New
York City, and as part of the growing Mexican
community in the USA.
Thank
you as always for your support. We'll see you
at Queens Theatre in the Park!
Sincerely,
Juan Castaño

Calpulli performances just around the corner... |

Tickets
are going fast for Calpulli’s performances at Queens
Theatre in the Park. In 2007, when the show sold out, there
was an unfortunate line of last-minute buyers. We certainly
don’t want any of our friends to be in that line this
year. Use the following link to Purchase
your tickets today!
The
exciting program was set months ago and includes the following:
debut of Mexika Tiawi, Noches de Veracruz, Retratos
y Corridos, debut of Tarahumara, Mi huasteca, Norte,
and Sones jalicienses.
In
a special sneak peek, the following links showcase the music
for Mexika Tiawi and Tarahumara. The songs
are original compositions based on collaborations between
Daniel Jáquez and Sinuhé Padilla.

Stay
tuned for special announcements and invitations in the two
weeks leading up to the performances exclusively for members
